Christmas & New Year 2025 - we will only be closed on the statutory bank holidays and will be open all other days, including our usual prebooked appointments on Saturday 27th December

after this time a recorded message will play, advising you to call 111 or 999 circumstances dependent

PROTECTED EDUCATION TRAINING SESSIONS

We, like all other practices in the country,  have training sessions throughout the year, to allow our clinical colleagues to keep up to date with new guidance, mandatory training or continue their professional developments and to allow our administrative staff to complete mandatory training, staff meetings and team building. They are normally a Tuesday afternoon, and we close between 1230-1830, we will add notification of this in the surgery and on social media, The training sessions in 2026 are:

There is plenty of free parking.

There are bike racks at the front of the building. 

Enhanced Access to GP appointments
General practice is here for you for longer, as routine appointments become available on evenings and weekends.

Preston North and East Primary Care Network will be increasing access to pre-bookable, routine appointments at evenings and weekends.  Limited appointments are available Monday to Friday 6.30pm to 8.00pm and Saturdays 9.00am to 5.00pm. These appointments may not be at your usual GP Surgery.

When We Are Closed

If you require medical assistance from after 18:30 Monday to Friday or at the weekend please call please dial 111 or use 111 online from your smartphone using this link Get medical help - NHS 111

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.  

The surgery is open on a Saturday morning from 8.15 - 12.15.

The service offered is for pre-booked appointments ONLY. 

PLEASE NOTE THE TELEPHONE LINE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT THE WEEKEND.

Please discuss with the receptionist if you would like to be seen at one of these sessions.

Please note that the weekend surgeries are not an extension of the services we normally provide through the week, our usual week day services will not be available on theses days.

Routine requests for information, repeat prescriptions and general enquiries will not be processed at these weekend sessions and you will be asked to contact the surgery Monday to Friday for all of theses services.
