Repeat Dispensing

Do you take regular medication? Ask about repeat dispensing the next time you order.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions may be requested in any of the following ways:

  1. Written and posted in the repeat prescription box, situated in the surgery entrance (request forms are available by the box)
  2. By post
  3. Online with Patient Access via the link at the top of this page (you need to register for this service at the surgery with Photo ID)
  4. By email to gpccg.lythamroadprescriptions@nhs.net
  5. If you are registered Housebound with us you can call the surgery and select option 2 to leave a message.

Please note you can also use the email address gpccg.lythamroadprescriptions@nhs.net for any prescription enquiries.

Please ensure all written requests include the full drug name and dosage you are currently taking, alternatively, you may use the tear off slip attached to your previous prescription.

Prescriptions will generally be available for collection after a minimum of 48 hours. Please be aware that weekends and bank holidays may affect this time.

Practice policy and local NHSE prescribing guidelines are that we do not issue more than 2 months prescriptions at a time.

Please note that some items cannot be sent to the chemist by Electronic Prescription Service, these will need to be collected from the surgery and taken to the pharmacy.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will have their prescription reviewed by a doctor, Clinical Pharmacist, Nurse practitioner or Practice nurse at least once a year.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment if requested, to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
